LES VOLTES RESTAURANT is housed under three roman vaults belonging to the ROMAN CIRCUS OF TARRAGONA with an antiquity of 2000 years old. This is one of the oldest sites of Europe declared a HERITAGE FOR HUMANITY.
The purpose of these vaults was to hold the main structure of the tiers up where people could sit down to enjoy one of the most interesting events of the times: competition riders on horse-drawn carriages. They were given five or ten laps around the so-called spina, and the fastest was the winner.
Our restaurant was founded in 1986. Until today it has been a familiar restaurant founded by Mrs. María Jové and Mr. Francesc Sas.
Cuisine will find our clients is basically Mediterranean. Dishes such as burnt garlic monkfish with mussels and clams, the rasher of prawns with grilled squids, our well-known codfish in garlic mousseline with a bed of baked spinaches and many other dishes for everyone to find the dish they like.
We also have daily menus from 10€, 21€ and we personally elaborate menus that best suit to the client’s budget.
